Garage Door Opener Repair & Installation
Opener won't open, reversing or beeping? We repair & install LiftMaster myQ openers across Metro Vancouver.
Garage Door Opener Repair & Installation
If your opener hums but won't lift, reverses halfway, beeps, or ignores the remote, we'll diagnose it on the spot and tell you straight whether it's a quick fix or time for a new unit. Opener repairs across Greater Vancouver run $129–$249; a brand-new LiftMaster opener is installed flat-rate (reveal model prices with the Pricing button, or see the list below). Many "dead" openers are actually a tripped safety sensor, a stripped drive gear, a dead backup battery, or a worn logic board — all things we carry parts for. When replacement is the smarter call, we install LiftMaster's myQ Wi-Fi line so you can open, close and check the garage from your phone. Written quote first, every time.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my garage door open then close again right away?
That's almost always the safety sensors (photo-eyes) near the floor. If they're misaligned, dirty, or have a blocked beam, the opener reverses to protect anyone underneath. We realign and test them as part of a standard opener visit — often a quick, inexpensive fix.
Can you fix my opener or do I need a new one?
We repair before we replace. Common fixable faults are drive gears, trolleys, capacitors, logic boards, remotes and sensors. If the motor is burned out or the unit is 15+ years old and parts are scarce, we'll show you the math on repair vs. replace so you decide.
What opener brands do you service?
All the major brands — LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Craftsman, Marantec and more. For new installs we fit LiftMaster because the myQ app, battery backup options and parts availability in BC are the best we've found.
Do new openers work during a power outage?
The battery-backup models do. On the BC coast where winter storms knock out power, we usually recommend a belt-drive or wall-mount opener with integrated battery backup so you're never locked out (or in).
How long does a new opener installation take?
Most single-opener installs take about 1.5–2.5 hours including haul-away of the old unit, programming your remotes and the wall console, and setting the travel and force limits properly so the door is safe.
