How often should I service my garage door?
Once a year for an average home; twice if the door cycles many times a day or there's living space above the garage. Annual maintenance catches frayed cables and tired springs before they fail and keeps the safety sensors working.
What's included in your tune-up?
Door balance test, lubrication of rollers/hinges/springs, hardware tightening, cable and spring inspection, roller condition check, opener travel-and-force adjustment, and a full safety-sensor and auto-reverse test. We finish with a plain-English report.
Will a tune-up make my noisy door quieter?
Usually a lot quieter. Most noise is dry hinges, worn rollers and loose bolts — all addressed in a tune-up. If your rollers are worn out we'll quote quiet nylon replacements rather than just masking it with grease.
Can a tune-up prevent a broken spring?
It can't make a spring last forever, but we measure wear and can warn you when a spring is near the end of its cycle life — so you can replace it on your schedule instead of waking up to a trapped car.
